In 1970, Michael Jolly Sr. and his wife Peggy moved to Spartanburg, S.C. and started a successful retail sewing machine business. In 1978, the business evolved to include sofas and furniture. In 1984, the business moved to its present location with approximately 30,000 square feet of showroom space. Michael Jolly Sr. with his wife Peggy and sons Michael Jr. and Jeff, along with other good employees have successfully operated the business to serve the Spartanburg community.
Unfortunately, in 2006 we lost the founder and owner of Mattress Furniture.
Today, Peggy, Michael Jr., and Jeff are still operating Mattress Max Furniture. We take pride in operating a good, clean, respectable business in the Upstate region of South Carolina. We are a full line furniture store offering living room sets, dining rooms, bedroom sets, occasional tables, curios, clocks, area rugs, recliners, pictures, accessories and one of the most complete mattress shops around.
We have quick delivery service which is days instead of weeks. We also have great low prices that keep our inventory turning.
